Leather Exceptionals buggued

  • well i began my crafting carreer, and found anoying that when i use leather even the exceptional items have no Extra addons, here is the proof, this does not happens with tailoring with cloth where your exceptional items have extra propeties

If I'm not mistaken those are low teir craft items. You won't see much of a difference in that area. Even with high teir craft items it's not much of difference. I hate the new tailoring system. I liked the original version better. Good resist with finely crafted items not much mods but it was a lot better than this junk

  • maybe nobody reported but this is a bug, exceptional items need to have some extras, even if they are a few or they are low level items, on cloth a aceptional item has from 1 to 5 modifiers, i guess blacksmith is buggued 2 so ill test it on detail

Exceptional items are the only ones that can have modifiers. If you craft with cloth, it can roll modifiers even if it the fabric has 0 fame, so you see a difference... If you craft with leather, on the other hand, you might not notice the difference since it can roll with 0 modifiers anyway.

If you use fabrics with 3000/7000/10000 fame, you'll see a difference for sure.

Anyway, we might adjust the exceptional system in the future since right now it's quite hard to grasp.

    in the following link
    http://wiki.linkrealms.com/view/Armor
shows that no cloth fabric has 0 fame, plain is 5000 on the bottom and enchanted 10000 on the top,
so FAME is the key to get modifications on the exceptional items, since plain leather has 0 FAME when i craft a exceptional item with it i got 0 Modificators

ill get modificators on leather if i use Enchanted, Soft, Ghastly

    am i rigth?

BTW i tryed to enhance Metal armor and when i double clik on the meterial, the target to aply the modification does not apear, it works on cloth and leather why not on metal?

  • As you progress in tailoring or blacksmithing, the only thing a higher level really lets you do is craft different looking pieces of gear. That's a horrible system.

I for one miss the old days when you could look however you wanted. As it is now, I hide all my gear because mod swappers are absolutely useless. Crafting's taken 10 steps back since then, and has lost my interest completely.

THey are bad systems, and I think the player population reflects that.

true i sugested a modification to this on my sugestion posts, but not figured out this "looking" thing, i will think about how we can change it for the good

Yes, fame is the key to get mods. And your reasoning about leather is correct. However, there is a bit you're missing. The inner fame of a material is not all the fame a piece can be crafted with. Specifically, you can exchange tailoring beads (obtained completing tailoring contracts) with tailoring dusts that allow you to raise the fame of a stack of materials (+3000/5000/10000). Use a +5k dust on a piece of Plain Leather and it will get 0+5k=5k fame. Use it on a piece of Spider Cloth and it will get 5k+5k=10k fame. If you want to craft high-end gear, you seriously have to use dusts! And to get a lot of them, you need high tailoring to be able to complete the hardest contracts.

Don't fall for it, the rewards for the hardest contracts stink. I often get less beads than I get for second hardest contract.

i al ready think that the first or second jobs are the easyest to acomplish and less time so i guess that pays well D

tks prom for the aclaraton that the dusts act over a stak of materials, here comes a important questions

HOW LARGE can be a STACK 999 9999 99999? plz answer ;D anyuby, i guess all the stack get the same fame as individual

A dust will only enhance 5 anyway, not the whole stack ;)

@Roundwaters i had a tailoring contract reward 1.7k beads. now of course i couldnt complete it because i cant exceptional the leather but.... yea... :(

@Developers Excuse me for constant direct msgs to you guys, but i wanna be heard. I REALLY beleive and not personal opinion cause i ve seen many ppl in the community eager for that, you need to add a system that rewards ppl for making exceptional items. I d suggest some XP on that and maybe balance with more XP needed for tailorings last lvls. I find it so anoying crafting after lvl 80-85, cause i make like 100 greens. I keep 5 of them that are the ones i m gona use ( i say 5 but can actually be 0), and then sell all the rest to Vendors. I dont get any XP or any proggression at all from those, and feels like a waste of materials. Also storing those materials for later use, means that i m gona use them to get beads from quests, but also by doing the quests, i still dont get any XP and only grinding for random sh** :p

Now dont get me wrong cause i know you said you are gona revamp the system soon, i just point them out cause want u guys to think of a way to revamp those features too. Thnx

  • i need to add that the NPCs pay the same amount for a plain or exceptional item, making you feel like your a moron looking at the mods ;D

  • @Siltoruz we have a plan to change the way Exceptional works so stay tuned, that will be satisfying! :)
